New TASC™ test forms:

The current TASC™ test forms (D, E, and F) will be retired on September 25, 2016. Testing with the new G, H, and I forms will begin in New York State on September 26, 2016.

 

New TASC Readiness Assessments (Paper and Computer Based):

In conjunction with the implementation of the G, H and I TASC™ test forms, Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) will release two new paper TASC Readiness Assessments, by the end of August. DRC will release two computer-based Readiness Assessments by the end of October.

 

New Informational Brochures designed for TASC™ testers:

The New York State Education Department has made available two brochures to assist with test preparation: one addresses the Writing Subtest and the second the Math Subtest. Helpful topics include: TASC™ test content, how to prepare for the test, and sample test questions. Brochures may be found at:  http://www.acces.nysed.gov/what-hsetasc%E2%84%A2-test

Listed below are links to in-depth, on-demand 2015 TASC test training modules. These new learning resources are available to provide you with the latest, most up-to-date information regarding the TASC testing system. To view a training session, click the URL provided for each. Module 1: Paper-Based Testing Training

In this training we will discuss the processes and procedures needed for successful paper-based testing. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing materials, barcoding, test security protocols, and reporting. 

 

Module 2: Computer-Based Testing Training

In this training we will discuss the processes and procedures needed for successful computer-based testing. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing materials, navigation of the Online Assessment System, test security protocols, and reporting.

 

Module 3: Accommodations Process Training

In this training we will discuss the TASC Test Accommodations process. This includes the different types of accommodations as well as the steps needed to execute accommodations during testing for both computer and paper-based testing.

 

Module 4: Level 1 – Online Registration and Scheduling System Training (Nevada, New York)

In this training we will discuss the Online Registration and Scheduling System and its new enhancements designed to improve the test management process. We will review registration, scheduling and check-in protocols on the Test Administrator Portal and highlight the impact of new functionalities on current test administration practices.

 

Module 5: Level 2 – Examinee Self-Registration and Scheduling (Indiana, New Jersey)

In this training we will discuss examinee self-registration and scheduling in the Online Registration System.
